Video and Photography at Smart Doors 2026: Doors and Automation in Action

I’m Marcos Pérez, and I film and photograph door, automation and access control stands at Smart Doors 2026, from 10 to 13 November at IFEMA Madrid. I work with manufacturers and installers of automatic doors, industrial doors and access control systems. A door sells when people see it open, close and detect someone, so at this show most of my work is filming movement. A 15-second video of your Smart Doors stand costs €199, the 10-photo pack €150, and everything arrives within 24 to 72 hours.

Smart Doors 2026: doors and automation at International Construction Week

Smart Doors is IFEMA Madrid’s International Doors and Automation Show. It brings together automatic doors, access control systems, industrial doors, security technology, home automation, accessibility solutions and high-speed roller doors for residential, commercial and industrial use. It is aimed at installers, manufacturers, architects and engineering firms, and is supported by FIMPA, the Spanish federation of door and automation manufacturers, installers and maintainers. It runs alongside Veteco, Construtec and Piscimad as part of International Construction Week, which holds its second edition in 2026 and drew 46,737 professionals in 2024. Opening hours are 9:30 to 18:30 Tuesday to Thursday and 9:30 to 16:00 on Friday.

At a door show, visitors want to see the product working: how fast it opens, the sensor that stops the leaf, the reader that lets you through. A still photo says little about that, and a 15-second video shows all of it.

Photographing doors, motors and control panels

I photograph the whole door with its frame and surroundings so the scale is clear, then the details that decide a purchase: the motor, the track, the control panel, the card reader. If there are different finishes or colours, I shoot each one under the same light so they can be compared in the catalogue.

Videos of doors in motion for manufacturers and installers

Choose 15, 30 or 45/60 seconds. I film full opening and closing cycles, with live sound if a quiet motor is a selling point, and deliver in HD, vertical and horizontal, royalty-free and invoiced. Every option is listed in the video and photography rate card for IFEMA and Fira Barcelona exhibitors.

Content installers can show their customers

Full opening and closing cycles

I film the door through its whole travel and from the point of view of someone walking through it. That way an installer can show the video to a customer who has never seen the product.

Safety you can see on screen

If your door has a photocell, safety edge or presence detector, we set up a controlled demo of how it stops or reverses. It's a shot that reassures buyers.

Timed around your demos

I fit around your demo schedule across the four days. If your team drives, IFEMA recommends the Verde-Naranja car park, with pedestrian access through the North Gate.

Material for your distribution network

The pieces work on your website, for the distributors who sell your product and in proposals to contractors and engineering firms.

Videos of finished installations in real buildings

On the stand, the door is mounted on a display frame. In a car park, a warehouse or a shopping centre you can see what it’s for. I can film a corporate video of real door and access installations in Madrid or Barcelona and you can bring it to the show as proof of performance.

Reels and pieces for automation and access control brands

I edit short clips for social media and longer videos for your website or YouTube. We agree the audience first: installers and maintenance firms, architects and engineers, property managers, warehouse and retail managers, or homeowners.

Product photos and portraits for catalogues and press

I set up a clean background in a corner of the stand to photograph motors, remotes, readers and hardware, and take portraits of your management or technical team. They’re for product sheets, press releases, catalogues and specialist media.

How I film a stand with several doors running at once

I need the list of models and the order you want to show them in. I film each door separately, using the moments when the others are still so sounds and movements don’t overlap, and leave the wide shots with visitors until the end. At IFEMA I’ve filmed stands for Kide, Salomon Food World and Sinder at HIP, among others.

FAQ

Questions about filming doors and automation at Smart Doors

Yes. At Smart Doors I film high-speed doors at a high shutter speed and, if needed, in slow motion so the full closing is visible. Then I edit the sequence at real speed plus a slowed-down replay, which is the one that shows the guide system.

At Smart Doors I frame the door so the display structure doesn’t distract and film it through a full open and close. If you also want it in a warehouse, I can film it at a real installation before or after the show and cut both together.

Yes. A short video filmed at Smart Doors, showing the door working or how to use the remote, can be linked by QR code in the manual or on the door itself. You can use it in manuals, on your website and in installer training with no expiry date, invoiced to your company.

Yes. Architects and engineering firms are part of Smart Doors’ audience, and they pay close attention to this kind of demo. I film a wheelchair or a trolley going through with someone from your team, the touch-free opening and how long the door stays open.

It can, because many doors run at once at Smart Doors, so I record the motor up close with my own microphone at a quieter moment. In the edit I combine that clean sound with footage of the busy stand. If a quiet motor is a selling point, you’ll hear it.

Yes, if the organisers let exhibitors in before 9:30 and someone from your team is there to run the doors. That’s when you get clean shots without visitors. Let me know when you book so we can agree a start time.
